It’s still an effort for me to be thankful, even on an official day devoted to the simple act of being grateful. So I’ll try here:
*I’m thankful that God still turns around my messy life and gives me hope.
*Thankful that Betty still can create a surprised look on my face after 46 years of life together (41 married).
*Grateful that my grown kids and grandkids make me laugh more than cry and keep me teachable.
*Astonished that this nation and government keep bouncing back even if only every four years at elections.
*Smiling that I get to work with a lot of people half my age in my industry.
*Glad that people are still fascinated by the person of Jesus even if they have mixed feelings about His Church.
*Amused that next time I write such things, I’ll have likely upgraded, downloaded or found some new form of media to do it.
